But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong;
- 1 Corinthians 1:27
One of the most counterintuitive truths of the Christian life is that our weakness is actually the gateway to experiencing God's power. This runs completely contrary to our culture's obsession with strength, capability, and self-sufficiency. In 1 Corinthians, Paul reminds us that God deliberately chooses what the world considers weak to accomplish His purposes. He doesn't select the naturally gifted, the obviously qualified, or the self-sufficient. Instead, He chooses those who recognize their need for Him. Think about the heroes of faith: Moses with his speech impediment, David the overlooked shepherd boy, Gideon hiding in fear, or the uneducated disciples. None of these individuals would have been selected by a human resources department looking for qualified candidates. Yet God used each one powerfully. Why? Because in their weakness, God's strength could be perfectly displayed. When we stop trying to impress God with our capabilities and instead make ourselves available in our inadequacy, we position ourselves to experience His power working through us. This is profoundly liberating! We don't have to pretend we have it all together. We don't have to exhaust ourselves trying to be enough. We simply need to be available and willing to let God work through our limitations.
Explore & examine the areas of your life that God needs to come under the truth. Take a moment to commit & surrender these areas in prayer.
After, tell and share with others what God is teaching you! Try this:

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
