“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
- Revelation 1:8
Have you ever wondered what Jesus was doing before that first Christmas morning? Long before Mary held Him in her arms, before the shepherds received their angelic announcement, Jesus existed as the eternal Word. He wasn't created in Bethlehem - He was the Creator who chose to enter His own creation. When we read about God walking in the garden with Adam and Eve, speaking from the burning bush to Moses, or appearing as the fourth man in the fiery furnace with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, we're witnessing Jesus making Himself known throughout history. He has always been the visible expression of the invisible God, actively involved in the lives of His people. This truth transforms how we view Christmas. It's not the beginning of Jesus' story - it's the moment when the eternal Son chose to limit Himself to human flesh. The One who spoke galaxies into existence willingly became dependent on a teenage mother for His very breath. This wasn't desperation or an emergency plan; this was love in its purest form. Understanding Jesus' pre-existence fills us with awe and wonder. The baby in the manger wasn't just a special child - He was the eternal God choosing the most vulnerable way possible to reach us. Every Christmas carol, every nativity scene, every twinkling light should remind us that we're celebrating the arrival of Someone who was already here, Someone who loved us enough to become one of us.
Explore & examine the areas of your life that God needs to come under the truth. Take a moment to commit & surrender these areas in prayer.
After, tell and share with others what God is teaching you! Try this:

I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
